Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer's first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet's amount is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager is the conclusion. If the house doesn't have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with a sum on par with the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer's hand. The dealer pays out money equal to your ante and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
