Internet poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers attain 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer's first card, you have to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager's amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager comes the face off. If the bank doesn't have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with a figure on par with the initial wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino's hand. The house pony's up chips equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
