Online poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players are given five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino's 1st card, you need to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call bet's amount is on same level to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house doesn't have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus an amount on par with the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino's hand. The dealer pony's up money equal to your original bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
