Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players do not have to fret about other, more skillful people winning their money.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, rookies will be able to take their time and scheme without needing to make hasty selections.

It's also easier to play for a long time with only a small amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer's hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned 7 cards face up and the casino receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino's.
