Online poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer saying "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer's 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet's value is on same level to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a figure on par with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer's hand. The bank pays chips equal to your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
